• Pronoun என்பது nounக்கு பதிலாகப் பயன்படுத்தும் சொல்.
  Example: நீ,நான், இவன்,அவன்,உன்னுடைய,என்னுடைய‌
• pronoun comes under 3 categories they are called

• The person who is speaking is called first person, and the person who is listening is called second person and the one spoken about is called third person. (ie) நான் உங்களிடம் ராஜா என்பவரை பற்றி பேசுகிறேன். இதில் நான் first person நீங்கள் second person ராஜா third person.
  

1.First person:
       நான், நாங்கள் என்று நம்மைப் பற்றிக் கூறிக்கொள்வது

• ஒரு வாக்கியத்தில் உள்ள சொற்களை அவைகள் உணர்த்தும் பொருளுக்கு ஏற்ப பல வகைகளாகப் பிரிக்கலாம். அவை Parts of speech எனப்படும். There are 8 parts

1. நம்மிடம் ஒருவர்  How are you? என்று விசாரித்தால் நாம் Fine, Thank you என்று கூற வேண்டும். அவரை பார்த்து நீங்கள் நலமா? எனக் கேட்க What about you? என்று கேளுங்கள்.
2. ஒருவரது பெயரை கேட்டுத் தெரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டுமெனில்

   என்று கேட்கலாம்
   
3. ஒருவர் உங்களிடம் May I know your good name please?  எனக் கேட்டால் I am என்று உங்களது பெயரை இணைத்துக் கூறுங்கள். அத்துடன் தங்களை சந்திப்பதில் மகிழ்ச்சி என  Nice to meet you (or) Glad to meet you என்பதையும் சேர்த்து சொல்லுங்கள்
   Example:
       I am Sunitha. Nice to meet you.
   
4. Suppose சந்திப்பின் போது Nice to meet you (or) glad to  meet you சொல்ல மறந்து விட்டால் பேசிவிட்டு விடைபெறும் போது Nice meeting you என்று கூறுங்கள்.
   
5. வீட்டிற்கு friends வந்திருந்தால் அவர்களை உட்காருங்கள் என்று கூற
   
   
   1. Please sit down

   3. Please be seated
   இவைகளில் ஏதேனும் ஒன்றைக் கூறலாம்.

ஒருவரிடம் pen கேட்கவும்,தண்ணீர் கேட்கவும், time விசாரிக்கவும் அல்லது ஒருவர் கேட்டதற்க்கு "yes" என்று பதில் கூறும் போதும் வாக்கியத்தில் "Please" என்று சேர்த்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும்

யாரேனும் உங்களுக்கு வேண்டாத பொருளை கொடுக்க வந்தால் "No Thanks" என்று சொல்லுங்கள்‌.

யாரேனும் உங்களிடம் ஏதேனும் பொருள் கேட்டு கொடுக்கும் போது அவரிடம் "With great pleasure" என்று சொல்லுங்கள்.‌

நீங்கள் யாருக்காவது வழி விட விரும்பினால் "After you" என்று கூற வேண்டும்.

யாரேனும் பேசுவது கேட்காமலிருந்தால் "Pardon" அல்லது "I beg your pardon" என்று கூற வேண்டும்

ஏதேனும் Room  உள்ளே போகும் முன் "May I come in, Please?" என்று அனுமதி கேட்டு விட்டு போக வேண்டும்

யாரேனும் Room உள்ளே வர அனுமதி கேட்டால் "Of course" அல்லது "with great pleasure" அல்லது "Yes, certainly" சொல்ல வேண்டும்

Easy ideas to learn spoken English

            Learning to speak English is not a difficult task. If you have the will to learn and spare time, you can start learning even from now.

1. Read some kind of English material everyday for atleast 30 minutes(தினமும் குறைந்தது 30 நிமிடங்களாவது ஆங்கிலம் நாளிதழ், சிறுகதை போன்றவற்றை வாசியுங்கள்.)

2. Listen, carefully, to English movies ,news or speakers. Take note of the words/terms used. You might use them someday. It would be better if you have a booklet where you could list down the words along with their meaning and usage. Make sure you go back and read these words over and over till you start using them effectively.(ஆங்கில டி.வி செய்தி சேனல்களை பாருங்கள்.)

3. We know English but our tongue doesn’t, so try to read aloud. It would be best if you have a corresponding cassettes. You should read aloud alongside the recordings.

4. Watch English movies with English subtitles on. This has many advantages. You will be able to compare the written words to the correct pronunciations. You will get a feel of how real English sentences are formed when speaking.

5. One of the most common mistakes that English learners make is, they think in their mother tongue. When they want to say something in English, they think in their mother tongue, translate it to English and then say it in English. If you want to speak in English fluently you will have to learn to "think" in English.

6. Talk to yourself. You may feel shy, using English, when among your friends, however you should talk to yourself loudly in English to know how well you are doing.(கண்ணாடி பார்த்து பேசி பழகுங்கள்)


7.Daily write your activities in a diary.(Diary  எழுதுவதை  பழக்கமாக்கிக் கொள்ளுங்கள். நீங்கள் மட்டுமே use பண்ணுவதால் தவறாக எழுதிவிடுவோமோ என்ற பயம் உங்களுக்கு இருக்காது. தினமும் நூறு வார்த்தைகளாவது தயக்கமின்றி எழுதுங்கள்.)
